Considering the first quarter
The following weeks started to get back to normal for the life of a 10th grader. We elected officers, discussed some plans we are about to do inside our room, and we talked about how we should work together as a whole section. We even did some crazy, random activities just for us to stay positive and not be drowned by our requirements. Every week we had our quizzes, and everyday we were mentally tired, and it drained us. But I managed to still get along and stay on track. We still tried to ignore negative feelings and stay jolly.
The second month came, and things were getting rough, but at least we had moments where we hung out and planned things we wanted to do. Fast forward: it came in the last week of the first quarter. We were all relieved and thought about the reality that the quarter was going to end. But still, it did not stop us from experiencing stress. So many tasks are needed to pass that we were all loaded up with the requirements that are needed to submit. The days before our periodical test didn’t even make sense for us to review. We were all under pressure to get all our outputs done. But at least we took the test without fear of failure in our minds.
At last, the first quarter ended, and we ought to have the rest we have been longing to have. All those sleepless nights, all those stress and procrastination sessions, and all those draining activities have ended within the first quarter. It's still the beginning of the journey, but at least we’re getting there. If there’s a thing I’ve learned within the first quarter, it's to be patient. to be able to have the determination and not have the fear of failure. I’ve learned to try new things, to take risks, and to accept. I’ve learned to value what I am capable of. And the important thing is that I’ve learned that unity is a factor of progress, which shows how our section has been acting as one since day one.
