Synopsis of Children's Rights

The focus of National Children's Day is on the value of a healthy childhood and the necessity to uphold children's rights and liberties so that they can develop into contented, healthy adults. The Declaration of the Rights of the Child is remembered on this day. The idea that children are the country's future is reflected in the day as well as the idea that all children, regardless of caste, creed, socioeconomic situation, or political affiliation, have a right to receive basic amenities like education, healthcare, and sanitary facilities.

In the Philippines, November is annually observed as National Children's Month. This month-long event strives to provide Filipino kids with access to a safe environment, a quality education, and healthcare. Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines, famously remarked that young are the country's future and that raising children is essential for the welfare of the following generation. This holiday also has an empathetic foundation. In this third-world nation, where most families struggle financially, the children are the ones who suffer the most. This month's theme is "How Can We Help and Support Them?".

Children's Day is also observed to promote children's education and ensure that everyone has access to good care. It's that time of year when we reflect on the past and acknowledge the contribution of the children to the beauty of our lives.
